David Craig

David Craig has spent over three decades at the intersection of financial markets, technology, and innovation. A software engineer turned McKinsey partner, he went on to join Reuters in 2007 as Head of Strategy, later becoming Chief Strategy Officer of Thomson Reuters and ultimately founder and CEO of Refinitiv, one of the world’s largest data and technology platforms for financial markets. Under his leadership, Refinitiv was transformed and later acquired by the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) for $27 billion, where he went on to lead the Data & Analytics division.

Beyond his corporate career, David is a recognised voice on sustainability and leadership. He co-chairs the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), a global initiative backed by governments and supported by more than 1,800 members and $20 trillion in assets. He also leads the measurement workstream of the International Advisory Panel for Biodiversity Credits (IAPB), chairs the Triple Private Equity Partners Investment Committee, and sits on the boards of innovative natural-capital technology ventures, including Downforce Technologies and NatCap Research. He has advised leading institutions, including the Bank of England, the Bank of Spain, and the Monetary Authority of Singapore, on data governance, strategy, and artificial intelligence.

As a philanthropist and committed to developing future leaders, David is a member of the Sustainable Markets Initiative (SMI), launched by His Majesty King Charles III, chairs the Corporate Board of youth mentoring charity Urban Synergy, which he founded in 2020, and is a Trustee at the Natural History Museum in London.

Bluebook: How Bold Leadership Unlocked a $27 Billion Success Story is David’s first book. Part memoir, part masterclass, it captures the lessons of leading transformation at pace, building culture under pressure, and creating lasting business growth.

He lives in Wimbledon with his wife, three children, and their dog.
